Plain Steel Slotted Hex Nuts are normally used with cotter pins to create a locking mechanism in low torque assemblies. That prevents the nut from being loosened due to accidental vibration. It is common to see this type of nut on vehicles and machinery where vibration is frequent. Slotted hex nuts have lower profiles than castle nuts.

Returns
Returns are accepted for 30 days for Domestic orders and 14 days for International orders from purchase date by contacting us for a RMA number. Buyer pays return shipping and insurance costs. Returned open packages will be subject to partial refunds.
