Roger Williams Openwork Ornate Cake Plate Sterling Silver Overlay Mono
American sterling silver footed cake plate, having glass body with openwork overlay, featuring griffins, dolphins, cherubs, floral urns as well as foliate and scroll elements, creating intricate patterns. In the center, there is an engraved curly monogram “MCP”. Marked 637S. Made by Roger Williams Silver Co. c. 1900.
This marvelous plate is 11″ in diameter and 3/4″ tall.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
